Every Central Alabama campsite is listed below. This beautiful region contains some great Appalachians foothills and creeks and rivers. If you're looking for mountain camping, there are some great locations in Central Alabama including Red Mountain, Shades Mountain, Beaver Creek Mountain, Coldwater Mountain, Mount Cheaha and Sand Mountain.
Central Alabama has some great camping by creeks, rivers and lakes. We recommend you check out Lock 5 Park campground along the Black Water & Tombigbee Lakes. It is a great primitive site along the water with no RVs in the area.
Lastly, if you're looking for some forest camping in the area, Central Alabama is home to two great national forests, the Tuskegee National Forest & the Talladega National Forest. Both have excellent tent camping.
