Gulf State Park

The Gulf State Park is located on the southern shores of Alabama along the Gulf Coast. The park area is 6,150 acres, including 2 miles of beaches. There is a mix of 154 different RV and tent camping sites.

Additionally there are many hiking and bike trails along with cabins on the beach. The beach cabins aren't tents, but their location on the beach right next to the ocean makes them well worthwhile. The campsites are large, so there is a decent amount of privacy offered.

There is also a pier, 1540 feet long - the longest pier in the Gulf, which you can fish off of for $8 for a daily fishing permit. Fresh water fishing is also available at Lake Shelby.
