Wind Creek State Park

Wind Creek State Park is a 1,445 acre park located along the shore of Lake Martin. Lake Martin is a 41,000 acre scenic reservior great for swimming, fishing and boating. The lake also has a fishing pier and marina.

The park has the biggest state-operated campground in the US - a whopping 626 sites. 187 of these sites are located on the shores of Lake Maring. There are some amazing spots along the lake where you could literally fish from your tent (not reccomended putting tent so close to lake).

There is plenty to do at the park. There are playgrounds for the kids, boat rentals, swimming, biking trail and more. There are three hiking trails - Campfire Trail, Alabama Reunion Trail & Jeff Reed Horse Trail - all though beautiful scenery.
